Great to see and hear it running. Sounds just like an A182 Series Engine, but what I drive has 2 A182's

My all time favourite Piston Engine sounds are any AEC Diesel and a Rolls Royce Merlin

Looking (and sounding) absolutely terrific - a real tribute to all the love and attention you guys have given her. You should be truly proud of yourselves.

I saw a news report on the restoration on ITV London Tonight, as a child of the '50's I grew up with Red Rover tickets and Ian Allen bus spotting guides.

Even in those days 'Pre War' RT's were a rare sight... the best collection seemed to be gathered at Aldenham overhaul works, doing duty as staff transport.

I always loved these buses, why they got rid of the sloping cab window on the later models I'll never know, it was such an attractive feature!

Well done on a fantastic restoration, and thank heavens there are people out there like you to preserve our nation's Transport heritage.
